MythCairn covers three versions of the same question: where something actually came from, as opposed to the story most people have heard. Mythology is the origin story a culture told about its gods and the world. Invented history is the origin story behind the objects you use every day, and the inventor pop history usually credits versus the one who actually built it first. Wonders of the world is the origin story of the ancient and modern monuments people still argue about, most of which no longer exist to check.

A cairn is a stack of stones people build to mark a trail or a summit, plain markers left behind to say "someone was here, this is the way." That's the idea behind the name: strip the pop-culture retelling off a myth, an invention, or a monument, and what's left is a plainer, sturdier marker of what actually happened.
